Skull Needles

I'm ever so pleased. I got my bamboo knitting needles with skulls on them this week.
I got them from PunkKnits. I love them and I'm currently knitting myself a scarf on them in this wonderful wool that I used for my dreads.
A photo will come when I'm a little closer to being done.

That moment

Ever have that moment when you're just sick and tired of everything you're knitting? I'm at that moment. I don't want to work on any of my current projects and I want to start a new one.

But I will go on! I will finish all of them.

And it also helps that the wool for the sweater I'm dying to make is going to cost $100. Can't afford that at the mo.

So back to my three current projects I go.

Teddy Bear
My everlasting Kimono - only 9 more inches to go on the 2nd sleeve.
and more washcloths for people.

Recent Progress

Well, I've not been knitting at my usual speed, but Idid get one of my christmas scarves done this week. And I've also been working on my everlasting Kimono wrap. I think I'm up to about 5 inches or so on the second sleeve.

I really have to get my butt going though on the teddy bear I must make, and the rest of the washcloths I must make. If I'm lucky I might get a couple of scarves done for some of the guys, but I will have to see about that and the amount of time I've got.

Just Trying to be a knitting machine

Well, I did start the scarf I mentioned in my last post, but for some reason I've been really working on a bunch of little washcloths that I'm going to be including in some of my christmas presents this year. I've got four done and another one on the needles. They are so quick and super easy. I'm hopefully going to stop that soon and work on the other items that are going to take me a little longer.

But tonight I will be devoted to the project for me. My kimono wrap. I do want to get it done, I just keep feeling that I should get the Christmas knitting done first. So I've decided that Saturday evenings when I have about an hour before I do my thing for the night I will work on that.

Finished!

Well, almost, I have about 10 more rows to do, but I'm finished the baby blanket I've been making for a friend little one to be.

I will post a picture of it as soon as I give it to her.

Woot! Now I'm only working on two projects with many planned.

Getting there

Well, as I'm working on three projects at once, I'm slowly getting there.

Right now my frustration is I want to be done with the belt for my kimono wrap. I'm terribly bored with working on it and I still have 10 inches to go. Not to mention the sleeve and the back that have to be done. But those will be better. It's just the purl one knit one that is bugging the hell out of me.

And I'm almost halfway done the baby blanket I'm working on as well as half done the scarf I'm working on. So I'm getting there......getting there.

Yarn Issues

In addition to being a bit scattered, I also have a bit of a yarn problem. I see nifty yarn and i want to buy it. I'm on a bit of self imposed ban on buying yarn now as I have so many projects lined up. But the last thing I bought was some of the nifty new self striping yarn from Bernat. I got some baby yarn for a blanket for a friend's new baby to be and some that was red and black just because. It's really nifty stuff. I've decided to do a scarf for my sister in law for Christmas with it.

I'm really making an effort this year to knit most of my Christmas gifts. I'm hoping I make it in time.
I've got one down. My sister's and a few to go.

And I think the leftovers from my sister's wrap will be made into a scarf in the same pattern for someone. Not sure who yet, but......

Dreads

Amongst the many projects I'm currently working on, I got some really nice wool to make myself some removable dreads with as I can't have synth dreads with my job. So I attached all the wool to a headband, but decided it was too wide of a headband. I bought a new one to rework everything with and was about to start with it tonight, but the new one snapped. Which sucks. I'll have to go out and get a new one before I can start working on it again.

It's a good thing it's been too hot out to wear them or I would be really chomping at the bit.

Progress

Well, since Wednesday when I finished the sleeve for my kimono wrap, I decided to take a break from that and work on my sister's wrap. It is going stupidy fast. Which is wonderful. I only have 4 more repeats of the pattern and I will have the front half done. Not bad for three evening's work.

Once i finish that, I'm going to go back to the kimono and work on that for awhile, then swtich again I think.

Sometimes the mail brings good things

Today my package from Lion Brand yarn came in the mail. This means I can add yet another project to the ones I'm working on right now.

This yarn is for a wrap for my sister for Christmas. I did try going to Romni wools and finding an equivalent to what they wanted for the pattern, but I was just going to have to spend too much money and not get quite what I wanted. So I ordered online. The only thing I hate is paying the duty when it gets here.

But it is going to be beautiful. I almost want to quit working on my Kimono and start on this. But...... I must finish the sleeve before i do anything else. That is my goal for the week.

My Current Knitting Project

Well, I often work on a few at a time as I can be a bit of spaz, but the main project I'm working on right now is a Kimono Wrap I found in a Lion Brand book.

It is a project that is going to take me a good long time. I said I would never again do this, but it is on tiny little wool on tiny little needles. I started work on it three weeks ago and I only have three inches left to do on the first sleeve.

With hope, I will finish the sleeve sometime this week. I hope I hope I hope.
